What is Your True Calling?

Do you know that you have a calling in your life? It could be in your personal life, professional life, or even church life. God has created you in a unique and wonderful way with a special purpose. However, many people either don’t know what their calling is, or if they do know they aren’t living it out. This is because they don’t take the time and effort to discover what their passion, talents, and gifts are.

The best way to discover your true calling is to look within yourself to see what energizes you. What gets you excited in life? What is fulfilling for you to do? If you didn’t have any limitations, what would you spend your time doing? These are some of the questions that help you to discover what you are passionate about and start you on the path of what you are being called to do in your life. All too often people don’t live into their calling because they haven’t taken the time to seek it out.

Another deterrent for people is that they are afraid to step out and do what they feel called to do. The fear could be financial or a lack of education and training or fear of failing. As the saying goes, “It is better to try and fail than to fail to try.” It is exciting and rewarding to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and see what you are really capable of doing. The Bible tells us that “with God, all things are possible.” It is possible for you to not only know, but even more to achieve the calling for your life.
