Overcoming Your Fears

Everyone has fears of some kind or another. Unfortunately, much of the advice given to overcoming fears are things like: breathe deeply, imagine a good outcome, visualize a happy place. These practices could help a little, but I think they fall short of really helping a person move past their fears and allowing them to achieve the goals that they really want to accomplish in their life.

People are capable of doing much more than they often allow themselves to imagine or accomplish. The first step to overcoming fears is to recognize what those fears are. Getting to the root of the fear that is holding a person back is the second step. Thinking about the steps to accomplish your goals comes next in overcoming. Taking a step by step approach and thinking through these steps unlocks the possibilities that are there.

In September I wrote a blog about having confidence. Having confidence comes through achievement, but even more by understanding who you were created to be and the gifts and abilities you possess. As you put these into practice and find success, your confidence increases. Bringing past successes into your present reminds you that the fears can’t keep you from your goals if you have the right perspective.

Let me help you to overcome your fears, gain perspective, and find confidence!
